Folding Guide

Single Fold

This format is one of the most common brochure types. The printed sheet or sheets are simply folded in half. This folding creates 4 pages, front-cover, back-cover, and two internal pages.

Single Folding

Roll Fold

This format is a very popular choice and is created by folding the printed sheet along two creases. This gives 6 pages to place information on. The right hand panel is trimmed 2-3mm smaller depending on paper weight so it can be roll folded into itself.

Z Fold

This format is a another popular choice and is created by folding the printed sheet along two creases but in opposite directions. This gives 6 pages to place information on. The page layout places what will be the front and back covers on opposite sides of the sheet.

Z Fold

Gate Fold

This format is usually created from a non-standard 'A' size sheet size and with two creases again gives 6 pages. The information covering the front pages has to be prepared with a high degree of accuracy to ensure the final printed product is presentable when folded shut.

Gate Fold

Folders

This format has to be larger than the intended content page size and depending on the amount to be enclosed may require additional creases to create a spine and pocket 'capacity' to hold the content.
